Hyundai Genesis - in order to stand out from the competition, the appearance of the second generation Genesis was decided to change radically. A Korean E-class sedan in an executive wrap is not hard to mistake for a car of a higher rank. The inexpressive appearance of the predecessor has given way to sharper lines, which are given monumentality by an unusually large radiator grille for the brand.
The wheelbase of the Hyundai Genesis is 3010 mm (+74 mm), the length is 4990 (+15), and the width reaches 1890 (+27). At the same time, according to representatives of the company, in terms of space in the cabin, the sedan overtook many competitors.
For better handling in turns, engineers have reduced the camber angle of the front wheels, and also increased the lateral stiffness of the suspension. In addition, from now on, Hyundai Genesis will be produced not only in rear-wheel drive, but also in all-wheel drive. The latest version of the four-door is equipped with an HTRAC transmission with a multi-plate clutch in the front wheel drive. In normal modes, the all-wheel drive system maintains the car's rear-wheel drive focus, distributing torque in a 40:60 ratio in favor of the rear axle. Nevertheless, depending on the conditions, the transmission is able to transfer up to 90% of traction to the front axle, and up to 100% to the rear axle.
The Genesis is the first Hyundai model to offer an automatic braking system. Also available for the top versions are assist systems for reversing from parking lots, informing the driver about obstacles, tracking dead zones, as well as markings, all-round cameras, a projection display, ventilated seats, multimedia for rear passengers, acoustics from Lexicon.
