Hyundai Grand Santa Fe - The first debut of the seven-seater Santa Fe took place in April 2012 at the New York Auto Show. Then Hyundai introduced American version model, the release of which was subsequently established in the city of West Point (Georgia, USA). In early 2013, the company announced the start of sales of a similar model in the European market, the public premiere of which took place in March at the international auto show in Geneva. "European" received reconfigured suspension and steering.
In Ukraine, the car was presented at the end of May at the Kiev Motor Show SIA. Then the ordering started. The first buyers will be able to see the cars in September.
Hyundai Grand Santa Fe is built on the same platform as the regular five-seater Santa Fe. True, to make the passengers of the gallery more comfortable, the wheelbase of the model was stretched by 100 mm. The seven-seater Santa Fe is 10mm taller, 5mm wider and a whopping 225mm longer than the short-wheelbase version. The minimum volume of the trunk due to the increase has increased to 607 liters.
Outwardly, the difference between the models lies in the different design of the false radiator grille, modified bumpers and the lower window line, which in the Grand Santa Fe does not rise as fast as the stern, as is done in the short-wheelbase modification.
Hyundai Grand Santa Fe is supplied to Europe only with a diesel engine, but a gasoline version is also offered in Ukraine. Both power plants are paired with a six-speed automatic with manual override function:
2.2-liter turbodiesel (197 hp, 436 Nm);
petrol V6 with a volume of 3.3 liters (290 hp, 342 Nm).
Only modifications with a plug-in all-wheel drive system are imported to the Ukrainian market. Ground clearance Hyundai Grand Santa Fe is 186 mm. The European version of the model is produced in South Korea.
