Hyundai  i30 new generation received a completely new body design, made in a new corporate identity Hyundai, as well as a completely modernized interior with more expensive and better finishing materials.

The novelty is built on a modernized and slightly elongated platform of its predecessor, due to which the engineers managed to increase the free space in the cabin, writes motor.ru. The exact overall dimensions of the car have not yet been reported. So far, it is only known that the volume of the trunk has increased to 378 liters, which is ten percent more than before.

The new generation Hyundai i30 hatchback will be offered with six engines to choose from - three petrol and three diesel units. Engine power will range from 90 to 134 horsepower, and the most environmentally friendly version will be called Blue, which will receive an upgraded 1.6-liter "heavy fuel" engine that develops 126 horsepower. Its CO2 emissions will be less than 100 grams per kilometer. Depending on the modification, the motors will be paired with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.

As an option for the new i30, a panoramic glass roof, leather-trimmed seats and a rear-view camera will be offered.

Initially, the car will be available only with a five-door body. Subsequently, as expected, there will be a three-door modification. At the same time, the South Korean company decided to abandon the idea of ????producing a “charged” version, focusing on more economical and environmentally friendly cars.

Earlier, representatives of Hyundai stated that the new i30 will be able to seriously compete with the bestsellers of the golf class - Ford Focus  and VW Golf. The company believes that the car turned out to be “high-quality”, “practical”, “emotional” and “stylish”.

The i30 was developed specifically for the European market and has been in production since 2007. For the production of the machine, a plant was built in the Czech Republic (it has been operating since 2008). In Slovakia, Kia launches the cee'd platform model.

As is the case with the recently introduced KIA pro_cee'd, its three-door modification differs from the five-door Hyundai i30 with a new false radiator grille, a changed style of the lower bumper and other foglight sections. According to preliminary information, the model will be offered in a richer configuration compared to the five-door hatchback. In particular, 16-inch wheels will be immediately included in the basic equipment.

In other markets, there is also the new Hyundai i30 Turbo, which will be offered in both five- and three-door body styles. The car is equipped with a gasoline engine with direct fuel injection, which develops 186 horsepower and 265 Nm of torque (in the range from 1,500 to 4,500 rpm). This unit works exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission.

The "heated" i30 will accelerate from zero to the first "hundred" in eight seconds, and the maximum speed reaches 218 km/h. The declared fuel consumption in mixed mode is 7.3 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.

In addition, the Turbo version differs from the usual modifications in a more aggressive appearance, retuned suspension, new 18-inch alloy wheels, red stitching of interior elements and, as noted in Hyundai, sportier steering. Also available for the novelty is an exclusive body color called Jet Black.
