The new Hyundai Elantra compares favorably with the previous model with elegant and sophisticated styling elements on the exterior and an even greater range of options. It is included in the so-called Modern Premium segment - modern, well-equipped, but relatively affordable cars. 

The expressive features of the front of the car clearly reflect the active character of the new Elantra. A voluminous 6-angle grille with slim sports headlights adjoining it, sculpted body lines, muscular wheel arches and a sloping roofline.

The clever design of the rear bumper and light clusters of the new sedan improves the appearance of the car and provides better visibility at night, contributing to driving safety.

The novelty inherited the atmosphere in the cabin from higher-class cars such as the Genesis and Sonata. The driver's workplace resembles a fresh crossover Hyundai Tucson. High-quality and soft-touch interior materials bring the Elantra closer to the premium segment. The ergonomic design of the front console, the thoughtful and intuitive layout of the main controls provide the driver with the correct, and therefore comfortable, fit. The Infinity audio system also plays along with good music playback quality. And a detailed microclimate control system evenly distributes the air flow of a given temperature in all corners of the car. 

The sixth generation Hyundai Elantra is 20mm longer and 25mm wider than the previous generation. This means that it was possible to increase the interior space of the cabin and maintain the optimal balance between the dimensions of the car, comfort for passengers and the volume of the luggage compartment. The car's suspension has been modified to improve ride comfort and improve handling. 

Modern materials and technologies for the development of the body made it possible to reduce the weight of the car and, accordingly, reduce fuel consumption. The 53% high-strength steel body is more aerodynamic with a drag coefficient of 0.27, which not only improves economy but also reduces noise at speed.

The new Elantra can be equipped with up to seven airbags, while ESP and Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) are complemented by Hill Climb Control (HAC), which prevents wheel spin when starting up a slippery slope.

The initial engine is a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with a multiport injection system (MPi) and variable valve timing, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox or automatic transmission, it produces 128 hp. at 6300 rpm and maximum torque of 155 Nm at 4850 rpm. The “senior” 2.0-liter engine with a multiport injection system (MPi) and a variable geometry intake manifold comes only with an “automatic” and its maximum power is 152 hp. at 6200 rpm, and a torque of 192 Nm at 4000 rpm.  

The new Elantra has been recognized by the public and automotive experts for its design and high level of technology and safety. The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the new Hyundai Elantra the highest rating.

Trunk volume according to the VDA system is decent 458 liters. True, it used to be a little more - 470 liters. In the underground there is a "dokatka".

Ukrainian buyers of the new Hyundai Elantra are offered 3 trim levels to choose from: Classic, Comfort (including with the additional Security package) and Elegance. For the top-end configuration, a number of options may be available that were previously unique to the premium segment. In particular, climate control with anti-fogging function, heated front seats and steering wheel, cruise control, rain sensor, leather interior, position memory and seat ventilation, automatic trunk opening, rear parking sensors and a rear view camera, sensors for monitoring “dead zones” in rear-view mirrors, DRL marker lights when driving during the day, LED rear lights, LED marker lights and R17 alloy wheels with 215/45/R17 tires.
