The updated Elantra received a new hood, front fenders, grille and headlights, a different trunk lid, taillights, as well as alloy wheels in the original design. In addition, some interior elements have changed: the center console, ventilation deflectors, the audio and climate control unit, and the design of the dashboard.

On the Ukrainian market, the sixth generation restyled Elantra is available in 5 fixed configurations, as well as with an additional package of security options (Safety Pack). The basic Active equipment includes: driver and passenger airbags, ABS, air conditioning, front and rear power windows, power and heated rear-view mirrors, steering wheel height adjustment, front armrest, low tire pressure warning system, trip computer, smoker's package, multimedia system with a 5-inch screen and buttons on the steering wheel, 4 speakers, USB port and AUX. By default, the sedan is equipped with projection-type halogen headlights (lenses), a light sensor (automatic low beam) and steel rims with 195/65 R15 tires.

In more expensive trim levels, options such as climate control, cruise control, a rear-view camera and parking sensors, heated seats, a multimedia system with a 7-inch display and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED headlights and taillights, alloy wheels, leather interior, etc.

The engine is a 1.6-liter G4FG gasoline. A sixteen-valve engine with distributed (MPI) fuel injection and a Dual CVVT phase change system develops 128 hp. at 6300 rpm and a torque of 155 Nm at 4850 rpm. It is combined with a 6-speed "mechanics" or a classic 6-speed "automatic". In the first case, acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes 10.1 seconds, and in the case of automatic transmission - 11.6 seconds. This power unit is characterized by a moderate appetite: gasoline consumption in the combined cycle is about 6.5 l / 100 km for cars with "mechanics" and 6.7 l / 100 km for "automatic" (manufacturer's data).

Produced in South Korea, where this model is known under the designation Avante.
