An updated version of the third generation of the model (PD) was introduced in February 2020, when three restyled modifications were released at once: hatchback, station wagon and liftback.

As part of the restyling, the five-door found a radiator grille in a new corporate style, which, moreover, is slightly wider than the previous one. The design of LED headlights for expensive trim levels has changed - now they are with V-shaped running lights. There are new rear lights and an updated collection of 16-18 inch wheels.

The station wagon of the Korean brand in the new model year has acquired a seven-inch Super Vision virtual instrument cluster display and a new media system with a 10.25-inch screen (previously there was a maximum of eight inches). In addition, the update brought an expanded set of electronic assistants, which includes monitoring systems for blind spots, lane keeping and emergency braking (the latter has learned to recognize cyclists), as well as a special assistant that monitors the beginning of the movement of the car in front, for example, at a traffic light, and gives a signal to a gaping driver.

Finally, the range of gasoline engines has been revised. The aspirated 1.4 MPI (100 hp) was replaced by a new unit 1.5 DPi (110 hp), and the turbo four 1.4 T-GDi (140 hp) gave way to a similar 1.5 T-GDi (160 hp) engine. with.), which is regularly equipped with a 48-volt starter-generator.

The 1.6 CRDi diesel engine, after the upgrade, lost the standard version with 96 hp, but two other modifications (115 and 136 hp) remained in service, although a hybrid makeweight now also helps a more powerful version. Almost all engines are combined with a 6-speed "mechanics" or a 7-speed "robot" with dual clutch.

In Ukraine, the third-generation restyled Hyundai i30 debuted in the fall of 2020 with a 1.5 DPI engine. The petrol engine is combined with a 6-speed "mechanics" or "automatic" of a similar range. The hatchback is offered in Classic, Comfort, Style and Premium trim levels.
