Hyundai Palisade - eight-seater front- or all-wheel drive crossover. The flagship model of Hyundai, built on a common platform with the Kia Telluride. For the first time "Palisade" was presented in November 2018 at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Hyundai Palisade got its name in honor of the respectable Pacific resort Pasific Palisades, located in the western part of Los Angeles (California, USA).

Palisade was significantly larger than the eight-seat model Grand Santa Fe. The length of the car body was 4,980 mm, width - 1,975 mm, height - 1,750 mm, and the wheelbase - 2,900 mm. The most noticeable design elements of the novelty are the wide cascade-style grille and multi-level LED optics, including LED headlights, daytime running lights and turn signals.

Hyundai Palisade interior details are trimmed with high-quality materials, among which, depending on the configuration, there may be Nappa leather and fine wood. The car has three rows of seats with a 7 or 8-seat seating formula. The second row of seats is equipped with the One-Touch transformation system, which provides easy access to and exit from the third row seats. Second row seats can also be equipped with heating and ventilation. And the third row is equipped with an electric drive for folding and unfolding the seat backs with one touch.

The car dashboard can be analog or fully digital with a 12.3-inch screen. It is visually integrated with a 10.25-inch multimedia system display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay applications. One of the highlights of the “multimedia” is the ability to work simultaneously with two devices via Bluetooth. In addition, the crossover can be equipped with a projection display and an intercom system for the driver and passengers, one of the functions of which is Rear Sleep Mode. It allows you to turn off the sound in the speakers located on the second and third row, so as not to disturb sleeping passengers.

Each row of Palisade seats is equipped with a USB port, for a total of seven available to passengers and the driver. The list of options also includes three-zone climate control with a control panel on all three rows of seats and an air distribution system with a diffuser mounted in the roof above the second and third rows.

Hyundai Palisade boasts not only a spacious interior, but also a roomy trunk. So, the volume of the luggage compartment behind the third row of seats is 509 liters. With the third row seats folded down, the useful loading volume increases to 788 liters, and if the second row of seats is folded down, the volume will increase to 1150 liters.

In Korea, Hyundai's new flagship is equipped with a 2.2-liter CRDi (D4HB) diesel turbo engine with 202 hp. or a gasoline 3.8-liter V6 engine (G6DN) with a capacity of 295 hp. Both powertrains are mated to an 8-speed Shift-by-wire automatic transmission with EV-like button controls. Hyundai Kona. Serial production of the Hyundai Palisade started in the spring of 2019 in South Korea. Cars for the American market are produced at the company's plant in the United States.
