The new Santa Fe has received a completely redesigned design with a visually powerful front end, which is expressed by a cascading grille and double-deck optics (LED daytime running lights in the upper level and main headlights in the bumper), a pronounced shoulder line and elegant taillights. Interestingly, the petrol versions have a single exhaust pipe, while the diesel versions have a twin one. Depending on the configuration, the crossover is offered with 17", 18" or 19" alloy wheels.
The body of the new generation Hyundai Santa Fe added 70 mm in length (up to 4,770 mm) and 10 mm in width (up to 1,890 mm), and the wheelbase grew by 65 mm (up to 2,765 mm). The legroom for second and third row passengers has also increased. The rear seats were placed 18 mm higher, and passenger access to the third row was simplified due to one-touch folding seats. Trunk volume reached 1,036 liters according to the SAE measurement method (against 1,003 liters for the previous generation). At the same time, Hyundai has thoroughly worked on visibility - the mounts of elongated side mirrors are placed below, and viewing windows appeared in the vacant corners near the A-pillars. In addition, the glazing area of the aft part of the car has increased, which will be appreciated by passengers in the third row of seats in the seven-seater version.

Thanks to the increased number of body elements made by hot stamping, the total weight of the car has decreased. The Santa Fe uses more high-strength steel than any other Hyundai model at 57%. This is 15% more than in the crossover third generation. At the same time, the car interior is equipped with six airbags: two frontal, two side and two curtain airbags for the first and second row, which protect both the driver and passengers.

In Ukraine, the new Santa Fe is presented in four trim levels with a 2.4-liter gasoline engine (power 188 hp, max. torque 214 Nm) and a 2.2-liter turbodiesel (200 hp, 440 Nm). The petrol version is only available with a 6-speed "automatic" and all-wheel drive, while "heavy-fuel" cars can also be with front-wheel drive, 6-speed "mechanics" or 8-speed "automatic". The HTRAC all-wheel drive system is implemented through a fully electric clutch for connecting the rear axle. The ratio of torque distribution is displayed on the dashboard. In sport mode, up to 50% of the torque is transmitted to the rear wheels. In comfort mode, it transmits back up to 35% of the “thrust”. And in ecological mode, HTRAC works mainly on the front wheels.
The fourth-generation Hyunda Santa Fe has an independent MacPherson strut suspension at the front, and an upgraded, independent multi-link suspension at the rear.
The Family comes standard with six airbags, ABS+EBD, ESC, hill-start assist, descent assist, trailer stabilization, dual-zone climate control, and cruise control. Also included in the list of equipment is the choice of Drive Mode (but only for automatic transmission), central locking with remote control, rear parking sensors, a basic media system with a 5-inch monochrome display, heated steering wheel and front seats, Bluetooth, LED daytime running lights and 17-inch light alloy wheels.
In the Superior package, in addition to the equipment available in the initial version, the buyer will receive an electronic parking brake, a push-button engine start and a keyless entry system. In addition, power folding mirrors, a rearview camera, a smartphone wireless charging port, a multimedia system with a 7-inch touchscreen monitor and support for Android Auto / Apple CarPlay applications, LED headlights and 18-inch alloy wheels will be installed.
The color of the instrument panel illumination changes according to the selected driving mode. "Smart Mode" allows you to automatically select driving modes depending on the quality of the road surface and the driving style of the driver.
In the Prestige package, in addition to the options of the Superior version, there is a system for reminding passengers in the rear seat (Rear Occupant Alert), a system for monitoring objects in the "blind" zones and shift paddles. In addition, a remote trunk opening system, power driver's seat, front parking sensors, heated rear seats, leather trim, upholstery of the ceiling and side pillars with Deluxe fabric or Alcantara, and a SuperVision digital instrument panel with a 7-inch display instead of arrow indicators were added to the package.
The most expensive Top package, in addition to the equipment of the Prestige package, includes such options as a lane departure warning system, a head-up display, a surround view system, power front passenger seats, driver's seat position memory and front seat ventilation. In addition to this, a multimedia system with an 8-inch touchscreen monitor and navigation, a Krell sound system, an automatic parking system, a panoramic sunroof and 19-inch alloy wheels are installed.
